Rare Tulip Quilt Judy Severson Limited Edition Print

 Rare Tulip is an applique pattern inspired by a quilt made in 1865. The quilter was a southern woman waiting for her sweetheart to come home from the war. This colorful quilt has been handed down through the family now belongs to the quilters's granddaughter. 

The blocks are rearranged from the original quilt, the colors are changed so that they would fit easily in a bedroom today, and a stuffed border was added to this version. If you look closely at the stuffed feathers, you will find a small tulip at the end of each swirl.
