Collection: Skeins in the Stacks Yarns

“Skeins in the Stacks” is a book - themed yarn line developed by one of our favorite local Cordova librarians, Anna Hernandez. Combining her loves of both books and fibers, she has created interpretive yarn colorways inspired by her favorite stories.

Anna believes in the power of books to influence and shape lives. She has tried her utmost to pour the essence of this dear little storybook into the fibers she has thoughtfully dyed for you today, and hope you enjoy them.

Each yarn type is named after a certain author and the Yarn Weight Divisions are categorized like the Dewey Decimal System. For example all 100 yarns would be laceweight.

On a sidenote, Anna is our resident dollmaker. We have some of lovely little handmade dolls available at the shop, most of which have sweet touches of wool embroidery and some even made from wool she has syed naturally.  She also lovely silk scarves as well as yarn with local plants and berries. Anna is a gem of a person and we are delighted to feature her treasured yarns on our site.
