���When designing, I like bringing contemporary shapes and traditional techniques together ��� in this case, using a bit of old school colorwork to trim a more modern hat shape. The trim pattern is repeated again ��� with a twist ��� in the crown���s 6-pointed star motif. Choose two highly contrasting colors for a bold, graphic look, or two subtle tones for an understated nod to tradition. I like to think of this as a ���throw-on-and-go��� hat ��� the crown���s top-loop makes for easy hanging on wall hooks or coat racks for easy access when you���re running out the door.��� ��� Jared Flood
