Westerly Hartney Bay Sandpiper
Hartney Bay Sandpiper was created for our annual Shorebird Festival to celebrate the magnificent flocks of sandpipers that migrate through our region each year. Golden yellow/orange and brown are the feathers, the white with dots of color represents their flecked chest on a white feather backbround, and the soft blue is the backdrop of the birdwatchers dream day of a lovely clear blue spring sky out at Hartney Bay. The yarn colors are drawn from the sandpiper artwork and photography of Erin Cooper, Milo Burcham, Jon Cornforth, and Arthur Morris.
