Lettuce: Salad Bowl

Introduced in 1952 and won the All American Selection award the same year. Deep-lobed oak shaped leaves form neat lime-green rosettes.  This variety grows very rapidly, is cold tolerant, and is slow to bolt when summer arrives. Better yet, it has a mellow flavor and doesn’t get bitter in heat.
