Gansey Design and Construction Study Group

Join us as we initiate a monthly evening study group for gansey construction live and online at The Net Loft. Group will meet the first Tuesday of the month from 7-9 pm. 

This is not a structured class, but rather an informal monthly gathering upstairs at the Net Loft for those desiring to construct a gansey from a pattern or from one's own design, as well as for those who have a gansey in progress and would like to receive assistance and get back on track. We will also include others interested in joining us via zoom with computer set up in room for online participants  to be included in discussion.

The first meeting will introduce the process and outline the steps to follow, as well as discuss individual in-progress ganseys as needed.

Our first meeting will be January 7 at 7 pm ALASKA time. (8 pm Pacific, 9 pm Mountain, 10 pm Central, and 11 pm Eastern,  4 am in the UK and 5 am in Europe)

We have added another group to accommodate those In distant places. Our first meeting for this distant group will be Tuesday, January 14 at 10 am ALASKA time  ( 11 am Pacific, 12 noon Mountain, 1 pm Central, 2 pm Eastern,  7 pm UK and 8 pm in Europe) You may use same registration link and put in the messages the time you are interested in).  For February we will be meeting on February 4, at 10 AM ALASKA time and 7 PM ALASKA time, and on the first Tuesday of the month for the next several months for those interested in being in either time slot this study group. We have a weekly meeting on Thursdays at noon on zoom that will continue for general discussion and weekly check ins with our ongoing Cordova Gansey Project group.

If one has not already signed up for the information packet on the Cordova Gansey Project, those interested in participating should do so before this first meeting.

Participants need to know how to knit and purl.
