Carys BFL Mushrooms in the Moss Quartet

Mushroom season in the fall beckons and draws me into the lush drizzly forest, and finds me wandering in the boggy moss, beneath spruce and ancient hemlocks, with handfuls of cinnamon colored mushrooms bound for the dyepot. This is the colorway of mushroom hunting and finding, with the colors that reflect the excitement of the appearance of the forest fungi.  Susan Ogle's mushroom watercolors inspire this lovely Net Loft Cordova Colorway which is the mascot yarn of  our very own annual Cordova Fungus Festival in September.

100% Blue Face Leicester  Wool

Carys BFL (pronounced cah-RISS) is a smooth, evenly plied worsted  weight yarn from the Blue Faced Leicester breed of sheep.   Carys makes a wonderful sweater yarn, as Its long staple lenth resists pilling better than other fine wools.
