Autumn Comes to the Delta Collection: Dried Sedge on Latouche from Snow Capped Yarns
Yarn artist/dyer Shelly Kocan describes this collection in her own words.
This collection showcases shades of ochre, sedge, copper and golden greens. The palette mimics the current colors of the delta as it transitions from summer to winter.
Autumn is a brief pause in Coastal Alaska, this year we've been blessed with some quintessential Fall days, cool, crisp and with the decadent scent of decaying leaves. But breathe it in while it's here, because winter is not far now.
Dried Sedge is inspired by all those who equate Autumn with layout blinds, jumpshooting, duck calls and all the accoutrements of duck hunting.
So whether you are enamored with the softening shades of Autumn or the possibility of a camoflauge hat while you lay in wait of a flock of mallards..this collection is for you."
